The Opportunity

On behalf of our client, Berner Air Curtains, headquartered in New Castle, PA, Decision Associates is seeking a Regional Sales Manager - West Canada to support Berner's next phase of growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Market Expansion

  • Achieve revenue targets by growing existing accounts, developing new customers, and converting competitive opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up on leads, quotations, submittals, and conversions to purchase orders.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of Berner's product portfolio and competitive differentiators.

Channel Development & Relationship Management

  • Recruit, develop, and manage third-party manufacturer representatives and dealer/distributor networks.
  • Strengthen channel performance through regular business reviews, training, and improvement plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Inside Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Market Influence & Specifications

  • Drive product specifications by influencing architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and installers.
  • Maintain strong awareness of HVAC, Dock & Door, and Food Service market trends, construction pipelines, competitors, and regional dynamics.
  • Build strategic relationships to anticipate and capitalize on emerging opportunities. 

Reporting & Insights

  • Leverage CRM and ERP systems to deliver accurate forecasting, KPI reporting, and actionable insights to leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven self-starter with the ability to manage priorities independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to sell technical products.
  • Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and equipment schedules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Customer-focused, collaborative, and results-oriented mindset.
Ideal Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of outbound sales or customer-facing experience.
  • Prior experience with HVAC, electrical, or mechanical products strongly preferred.
