Job Title: Lead Product Engineer Location-Type: Remote – U.S., EST hours preferred Start Date Is: ASAP Duration: 2–3 Month Contract-to-Hire Compensation Range: $80–$90/hr | Target Conversion Salary: $200K–$240K Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, 401K Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Job Description:

  • Lead the build of a new 0-to-1 digital product from discovery and prototyping through launch and iteration.

  • Partner closely with Product, Design, SMEs, and stakeholders to determine what should be built and how to build it.

  • Own development end-to-end across backend, frontend, data, and AWS infrastructure.

  • Build scalable applications using TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

  • Help incorporate AI capabilities directly into the product and leverage AI-assisted development tools.

  • Operate in a highly collaborative, startup-style environment while remaining hands-on with development.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of software engineering experience with Senior/Lead-level ownership.

  • Strong 0-to-1 product development experience and a product-first mindset.

  • Strong backend engineering and data/information architecture experience.

  • Experience with TypeScript/Node.js, React, and AWS.

  • Experience deploying and scaling production applications.

  • Strong business acumen with experience working directly with Product, Design, customers, or business stakeholders.

  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.

  • Startup, greenfield, or founding-engineer-style experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree required.
