Empower Well Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Behavioral Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in New York City. This full-time position, primarily conducted remotely, offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year. • Provide compassionate counseling and crisis intervention to patients dealing with emotional and behavioral issues, ensuring a supportive environment for recovery.
• Conduct thorough assessments to understand patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans that outline actionable steps towards improved mental health.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical interactions, including progress notes and treatment updates, adhering to established departmental policies and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with medical professionals, including physicians and nursing staff, to communicate patient progress, concerns, and any identified issues that may affect treatment.
• Engage with community resource organizations, representing Empower Well Health Care Center in meetings aimed at improving the social support framework for our diverse patient population.
• Ensure discharge planning is comprehensive and aligns with the psychosocial assessments to promote long-term recovery post-treatment.

Our clinic serves a diverse group of patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, and substance use disorders. We are committed to addressing the unique needs of each individual, ensuring that our approach is both culturally sensitive and tailored to promote effective recovery pathways.

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Possession of at least one of the following independent licenses: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a clinical setting, providing mental health counseling and support.

• Experience in substance abuse treatment and recovery is highly desirable, as is familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Previous experience working in a remote setting and proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms and electronic health records.
