Role Summary
Seeking a skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Emergency Radiology Physician for a remote locum tenens opportunity. This is an exciting chance to work with a reputable healthcare organization delivering high-quality radiologic care in a dynamic, emergency-focused setting. Ideal candidates will bring expertise, efficiency, and a commitment to excellence in patient care, with flexible remote scheduling and a supportive clinical environment.

Duties

  • Provide diagnostic radiology services in an emergency setting

  • Perform and interpret required procedures as outlined in the attached practice description

  • Work scheduled shifts including weekday evenings and overnight hours, as well as weekends

  • Collaborate remotely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and accurate radiologic interpretation

  • Maintain detailed and timely chart documentation (note: charting is included in the base rate)

Required Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology, with emergency radiology experience

  • Availability to work 7 days on/14 days off remotely (Mondayโ€“Friday, 6 p.m.โ€“2 a.m. & 10 p.m.โ€“6 a.m.; Saturday/Sunday shifts included)

  • Active Illinois medical license preferred OR current possession of an IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)

  • Two completed professional references from recent supervisors or clinical colleagues who can attest to current skills, clinical acumen, and professionalism

  • Clean credentialing record with minimal to no malpractice history; candidates with pending legal cases must be pre-discussed

Desired Qualifications

  • Candidates with prior tele-radiology or emergency radiology experience

  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication in a remote work setting

  • Efficient in charting and reporting with no requirement for additional billing for documentation

  • Availability to begin upon completion of credentialing and payer enrollment
