Professional Services Coders - 2 positions to fill

  • 1 Anesthesia Coder: The ideal candidate will have experience in anesthesia coding, with a strong understanding of anesthesia coding guidelines, documentation requirements, CPT coding, time-based reporting, and applicable modifiers.
  • 1 Interventional Radiology Coder: The ideal candidate will have experience in interventional radiology and/or interventional procedural coding, with a strong understanding of applicable CPT codes, modifiers, documentation requirements, and coding guidelines.

Job Summary: The Certified Coder will provide coding and abstracting services necessary for compilation of accurate medical information/administrative statistical reports. This position will be responsible in applying guidelines for appropriate accurate fiscal reimbursement and comply with Federal Regulatory, Intermediary, PRO, and other reviewing organizational requirement.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • CPC preferred; will also accept RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS. Computer data entry required. 
  • Credential eligible or equivalent courses in Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Medical Office Practice or three to five years of experience in ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS coding. 
  • Knowledge of coding rules and guidelines, Coding Clinic, and CPT Assistant.
