Senior Imaging Systems Engineer (Remote) – Radiology/Cardiology Systems

Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)
Schedule: Full-time
Pay: $65/hr

Overview

Seeking a Senior Imaging Systems Engineer with strong healthcare IT experience to support Radiology and Cardiology imaging systems. This role focuses on engineering reliable, high-performing systems, leading implementations and upgrades, and providing advanced operational support. You'll collaborate across infrastructure, application, and vendor teams while driving documentation and best practices.

What You'll Do

  • Engineer imaging system solutions that meet functional, performance, and availability requirements
  • Lead technical planning and execution for new installs, upgrades, migrations, and optimization
  • Create implementation procedures, support documentation, and knowledge transfer materials
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and lead cross-team collaboration for resolution and stabilization
  • Support interoperability and integration needs across imaging platforms and downstream systems
  • Contribute to standards and best practices aligned with enterprise architecture requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
  • 5+ years in systems engineering/support across the full lifecycle (design through production support)
  • Imaging systems experience: PACS, Radiology/Cardiology workflows preferred
  • Standards/integration knowledge: DICOM, HL7, FHIR, IHE
  • Nice to have: cloud transformation exposure and AWS knowledge
  • Strong communication skills and documentation discipline
