Worldpay, LLC seeksSenior Data Scientist - Payments OptimizationinCincinnati, OHtodesign and deliver data driven products thatoptimizetransaction routing, boost performance, and reduce fraud on a global scale.

What you will be doing

TheSenior Data Scientist - Payments Optimizationwillcombine deep statistical and machine learningexpertisewith strong business insight to create the next generation of payment intelligence solutions on modern cloud platforms.Additionally, the role will:

  • Build,validate, and deploy ML models and statistical models that drive smarter debit routing decisions and real time transaction optimization.

  • Develop automated, end-to-end pipelines for data ingestion, feature engineering, and model deployment using Databricks, Snowflake, ApacheSpark, and other big data frameworks.

  • Perform exploratory analysis on large structured& unstructured datasets, present findings through dashboards and interactive visualizations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Design and evaluate A/B tests to measure uplift,optimizerouting tables, and inform product strategy.

  • Audit existing analytical workflows and introduce AI powered automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

  • Translate business challenges into technical solutions, working closely with product, engineering, risk, and compliance teams.

  • Ensure data quality, security, and regulatory compliance; document models andestablishmonitoring to track performance over time.

  • Balance sophistication with practicality, choosing the right level of complexity to meet performance, latency, and cost goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or related field and five (5) years ofexperience in the job offered or a related occupation: utilizing Python, R, SQL, and Scala or Java JVM language for Spark; working with ML / data science libraries including scikit learn,PySparkML, and TensorFlow; utilizing Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, GCP, and Azure; performing data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and Spark and Hadoop distributed computing frameworks; implementing Version control and DevOps fundamentals (Git, CI/CD); working with A/B testing, experiment design, and optimization techniques; working with Tableau, PowerBI, Matplotlib, and R Shiny; distilling complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences; and working with Payments DomainKnowledge with an understanding of debit routing, interchange, fraud mitigation, data encryption, and relevant regulatory requirements. In the alternative, the employer will accept aMaster'sdegree in the above-listed fields and three (3) years of experience in the above-mentioned skills.
