Job description

Engagement Partner / Principal Position Summary The Engagement Partner will provide executive oversight, strategic guidance, quality control review, client relationship management, and technical consultation related to affordable housing development transactions, including LIHTC, tax-exempt bond financing, RAD conversions, and public housing development initiatives. Primary Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact with MPHA executive management and project stakeholders. Provide strategic oversight of all engagement activities.

Review and approve major financial analyses and deliverables. Advise on accounting treatment for development costs, developer fees, ownership entities, and partnership structures. Review project financing structures and financial models.

Participate in meetings with investors, lenders, attorneys, and development partners as required. Review final cost certifications, financial statements, audit reports, and tax filings. Ensure compliance with HUD, IRS, GAAP, and applicable affordable housing regulations.

Provide technical guidance and training to MPHA staff regarding LIHTC, RAD, bond financing, and development accounting matters. Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Minimum 10 years of accounting and financial management experience.

Experience with affordable housing development, HUD programs, and public sector accounting. Strong leadership and client relationship management skills.
