As a mental health counselor in a community health clinic, you'll be engaging with patients from the comfort of their homes and ensuring accessibility for all clients, which is especially important in today’s health landscape. • Conduct comprehensive assessments to thoroughly evaluate clients' mental health, focusing on the frequency, severity, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans encompassing their unique objectives, cultural backgrounds, and personal preferences.
• Implement and provide evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively treat mood disorders.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, therapeutic options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Monitor and document clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, contributing to the overall well-being of clients.
• Engage in continuous professional development by staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in mood disorder treatment.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with applicable legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and training sessions to enhance collaboration and clinical efficacy within the practice.
• Advocate for clients by promoting awareness of mental health issues and supporting interventions that aim to destigmatize mood disorders.

The successful candidate will primarily focus on clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and related conditions. Our client population is diverse, encompassing various ages, backgrounds, and life experiences. The counselor's ability to connect with each client and provide personalized care is crucial for effective treatment and long-term recovery.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in the mental health field, with a focus on mood disorders.
• Expertise in psychotherapeutic techniques, particularly CBT and DBT.
• Strong communication skills, demonstrating the ability to engage and build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• A commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality in all client interactions.

While a minimum of three years’ experience is required, candidates with two years of post-licensure experience specifically working with mood disorders will be prioritized. Familiarity with psychopharmacology and the capacity to collaborate with psychiatrists are beneficial, as is a proven track record of achieving positive client outcomes.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
