• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop tailored treatment frameworks.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans focused on promoting trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to address trauma symptoms.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and regain a sense of control over their lives.
• Engage in frequent collaboration with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure patients receive coordinated and integrated care.
• Provide crisis intervention for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, offering them immediate support and stabilization strategies.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, guiding them towards appropriate resources for additional support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings focused on continuous improvement and the sharing of best practices in trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed on current research and emerging best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance treatment approaches.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Excellent communication skills paired with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, responding robustly to patient needs.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software applications.
• Team-oriented mindset, thriving in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

• Two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in settings focused on trauma.
• Experience with trauma-focused therapeutic techniques and modalities is highly desirable.
