Job description

EPC Services Company, a leading power/utility engineering consultant and construction firm, has an immediate opening for a Field Construction Manager; this is a temporary position.
This position is an on-site field construction manager role for individuals with strong knowledge of the means and methods used in the construction of electrical substations and underground HV duct bank installation experience. Field Construction Managers are not assigned to a specific location and are expected to support projects nationwide.
The position of field construction manager is an essential role in the organization. The field construction manager is directly responsible for actual construction of the project. Its functions include safety supervision, quality control/quality assurance supervision, daily on-site reporting, and environmental compliance inspection. This position reports directly to the project manager for all project specific issues and reports to the Manager of Quality Assurance for assignments to the projects, for general installation practices and inspection processes.
Minimum Requirements: OSHA 30 trained or MSHA equivalent. Minimum 10 years' experience in transmission line or substation construction; understanding of high and medium voltage electrical transmission/substation/distribution systems, excellent organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; working knowledge of a variety of computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), SharePoint and ftp protocol software; frequent travel is expected. The successful applicant will be subject to client-mandated drug and background checking and is subject to EPC Services Company's auto insurance carrier requirements. Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future
