Summary:
The Opportunity
Hyatt is seeking a Manager, QA to join the Global Digital and Technology organization, working on our mobile applictions team used by our Hyatt Guests and colleagues. In this role, this individual takes a direct hand in the performance of the team as a whole and developing and establishing quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organization. This is a hands-on/technical role, and this individual will remain directly involved with development efforts including gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This individual will be writing and reviewing manual test plans and scripts for validating defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems. The individual will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful manual testing and building automation first strategies in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives. This individual will also utilize manual testing techniques to deliver software to production early and often, with highly reliable procedures. You will be part of a team that is passionate about our purpose, committed to nurturing curiosity and new skills, and building connections across the organization with colleagues, customers, and guests.

The ideal candidate possesses the following characteristics:

Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
• Work closely with product, design, and development teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements
• Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for new development and enhancements
• Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Ability to analyze workflow; delegate projects to team members to meet department goals. Effectively manage team workload.
• Attends architecture meetings to ensure projects meet standards and that architecture adequately meets project needs.
• Works with leadership to identify and resolve enterprise-level issues with technology and process, especially related to product test coverage and effectiveness.
• Communicate cross-functionally across management levels test progress, test results, and quality of application changes
• Track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize results
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and to direct and improve a small team. Assumes team level responsibilities and identifies and resolves in-depth needs.
• Works with product and design leads to help stakeholders translate ideas into technical solutions.
• Organizes and leads technical meetings to reach inter-group consensus, when necessary
• Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
• 10+ years of experience developing and manually testing database-driven, native mobile apps.
• BS in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools like Jenkins
• Demonstrable skills in manual testing methodologies and practices
Experience Preferred:
• Strong Agile experience preferred in an environment
• Mobile application testing experience strongly preferred
• Preferred candidate is passionate about travel and the Hospitality industry

The salary range for this position is $98,600 - $128,000. This position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work.Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
