Job Description
The Asset Management Group (AMG) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support our Run the Bank (RTB) application portfolio within the Software Reliability & Controls (SRC) organization. This role is focused on production stability, operational excellence, and risk management for missioncritical systems.
This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in production environments, takes ownership of system stability, and can partner effectively across infrastructure, security, and application teams to reduce operational risk and improve reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support & Monitoring
Monitor, maintain, and support systems and software to ensure high availability and production stability
Monitor system health and availability, responding to incidents, alerts, and escalations as needed
Act as a senior technical resource during production incidents, driving timely resolution and clear communication
Maintenance & Operational Execution
Perform maintenance activities such as patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and automation, with a strong understanding of production environments and dependencies
Troubleshoot issues across application, infrastructure, network, and database layers
Partner with internal technology teams to execute production changes safely and in accordance with change management processes
Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement
Conduct detailed root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and production issues
Implement corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence
