Senior Consultant - Applied AI
Reports to: Practice Lead, AI
Location: West Chester, OH (REMOTE)

Senior Consultants are expected to lead projects of any size with minimal oversight while designing, implementing, and scaling AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes. The Senior Consultant, Applied AI leverages deep expertise across Microsoft AI platforms—including Copilot, Fabric, and Foundry—to lead technical conversations, architect solutions, and guide customers through AI adoption and transformation.
This is a hands-on role that combines technical execution, customer advisory, and innovation. The Senior Consultant translates business needs into scalable AI solutions, applies governance and Responsible AI practices, and ensures successful delivery and adoption across client environments.
Responsibilities:
Client Partnership amp; Advisory
  • Lead technical conversations with customers and Microsoft stakeholders to align AI solutions with business outcomes
  • Map customer use cases to the appropriate Microsoft AI technology stack
  • Identify workflow optimization opportunities leveraging Human-in-the-Loop practices
  • Educate customer stakeholders (business and technical) on AI capabilities, adoption, and value realization
Solution Design amp; Architecture
  • Design scalable AI solutions using Microsoft platforms such as Copilot, Fabric, Foundry, and Power Platform
  • Apply Responsible AI practices to all proposed and implemented solutions
  • Architect and implement governance controls across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
  • Establish integrations with third-party systems via APIs and connectors
Implementation amp; Delivery
  • Develop and deploy AI solutions using tools such as Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Fabric, Foundry, and GitHub
  • Perform prompt engineering and refinement through structured testing and validation
  • Ensure solutions are production-ready, scalable, and aligned with best practices
  • Lead or support project delivery to ensure timelines, scope, and quality expectations are met
Data, Governance amp; Optimization
  • Work with structured and unstructured data to enable AI-driven insights and automation
  • Implement enterprise governance and compliance processes related to AI solutions
  • Continuously optimize deployed solutions for performance, accuracy, and business impact
Team Leadership amp; Development
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team capability development
  • Share best practices, reusable assets, and lessons learned across the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field OR equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in cloud technologies, IT consulting, or business applications consulting
  • 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing role
  • 4+ years of experience working on technical projects
  • Production-level expertise in a services or engineering role
  • Subject matter expertise in at least one of the following ecosystems:
    • Analytics (Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks)
    • Modern Work (Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate)
    • Cloud Apps (Azure Functions, App Services, Foundry)
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data
  • Experience with enterprise governance and related processes
  • Active Microsoft technical certifications (Azure, Fabric, Microsoft 365, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing and implementing agentic AI solutions
  • Development experience with .NET, Python, or Java
  • Experience with scripting and deployment automation (e.g., GitHub)
  • Experience in a consulting or professional services environment
