Job description

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $52.27hr - $57.27hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and project execution.
  • Strong, broad knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • 10+ years of experience performing structural analysis.
  • Working knowledge on ASME Code Sec III is highly preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience conducting finite element analysis (FEA), including evaluation of mechanical and thermal loadings under both static and transient conditions.
  • Experience using ANSYS Workbench or APDL.
  • Programming or data analysis experience using tools such as MATLAB or Python.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to clearly document engineering analyses and communicate technical findings through reports and presentations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead structural and dynamic analysis projects for the reactor, internal components, and support structures to demonstrate compliance with ASME BPVC Section III.
  • Evaluate primary & secondary stresses and fatigue in reactor internals resulting from mechanical and thermal loadings.
  • Execute analyses for assigned projects using sound engineering principles, while adhering to established business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculation packages, and documentation supporting regulatory and design requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineers, system engineers, project managers, and external partners to complete assigned design activities on time and on budget.
