Job Summary

As Manager, Actuarial Pricing, you will be responsible for pricing our personal lines insurance products, applying accepted actuarial standards, methodologies, and industry knowledge to develop pricing and product strategies that support our business goals. Reporting directly to the Chief Actuary, you will bring strong analytical aptitude to a fast-moving, dynamic team.

Homeowners of America is a provider of personal lines insurance products.

What You Will Do As A Manager, Actuarial Pricing:

  • Pricing Analysis & Strategy

  • Conduct reviews of rates, analyzing profit and loss results, past and current trends, and projecting underwriting losses.

  • Complete detailed analyses, make recommendations, and prepare rate package proposals for executive management review.

  • Support the development and design of new products and programs.

  • Rate Filings & Market Intelligence

  • Prepare rate filing materials, exhibits, rate manual pages, and other data analyses promptly and accurately for use in filing rate and product changes.

  • Develop competitive intelligence reporting to compare and contrast operations and results, including compiling competitor rates and overall market pricing levels by product.

  • Develop and analyze reports.

  • Pursue continued professional development in actuarial science.

What You Will Bring As A Manager, Actuarial Pricing:

  • ACAS required; FCAS preferred.

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Management or project lead experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

  • Experience using Python and other analytical tools to support pricing, reporting, and decision-making; experience with predictive modeling, data visualization, or process automation is a plus.

  • Experience with SQL database language.

  • Experience with personal lines property and casualty insurance.

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member
Pay Range*: $138,800 - $185,000 Annually

*Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, jobrelated knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.
