Job description

Graham Technologies is seeking a highly qualified Data Engineer / Python & SQL Developer to support the design, development, and deployment of enterprise data engineering and ETL solutions in a mission-focused environment. The successful candidate will possess advanced expertise in Python, SQL, and AWS cloud services, with experience building scalable data pipelines, designing databases, and supporting secure cloud-based data integrations. This role requires strong technical documentation skills and the ability to operate effectively within Agile delivery teams supporting Federal and DoD initiatives.

Location: Remote (Preference for Dayton, OH or Washington DC Metro Area)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using Python and SQL.
  • Build and support cloud-based data integration solutions utilizing AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, and related AWS services.
  • Design database schemas and implement data modeling, normalization, optimization, and integrity controls.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, data flow diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality, integration, and performance issues.
  • Conduct ETL testing, code reviews, and quality assurance activities.
  • Collaborate with architects, analysts, developers, and program leadership to support successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications:Experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, or Data Integration.
  • Advanced experience developing solutions using Python and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, and related cloud services.
  • Experience designing and optimizing relational databases and data models.
  • Experience working in Agile environments utilizing Jira.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
