Pay Range: $41.88 - $62.40 per hour

Summary:
This position is for a full-time Automation Engineer with 4+ years of professional experience. Rush is seeking an experienced IT infrastructure automation to design, implement, and manage automation solutions for our infrastructure. This role will focus on streamlining deployments, improving system reliability, and reducing manual operational tasks by leveraging automation tools and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) methodologies. The right individual exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
•Develop and maintain automation scripts using languages such as Python, PowerShell, Itential, or Bash to streamline infrastructure operations.
•Design and implement IaC solutions using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for provisioning and configuration management.
•Automate deployments and management of hybrid cloud environments ( AWS, Azure, GCP) and on premises infrastructure
•Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to enhance infrastructure deployment and operational efficiency.
•Collaborate with observability and operational colleagues to implement automated monitoring and self-healing mechanisms for workflow infrastructure reliability and performance.
•Ensure automation solutions adhere to security best practices, compliance requirements, and governance policies.
•Work closely with D&IS infrastructure teams to align automation initiatives with business needs.
•Maintain clear documentation of automation processes, configurations, and best practices.
•Craft key performance indicators for production automation jobs.
•Track operational effectiveness of automation solutions.
•Adhere to change management lifecycle.
•Develop end-to-end solutions that will improve infrastructure delivery to the enterprise.
•Think independently and creatively to solve complex technical problems.
•Ability to learn new APIs and solutions as new needs are identified/introduced.

Other information:

• Bachelors Degree and 4+ years of automation experience in an enterprise environment or High School
Diploma and 8 years experience
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms ( AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid infrastructure.
• Experience with configuration management and system administration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Visio, Draw.io, or similar technology.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Experience with MCP, MCSE on Windows 2016, and 2019 is preferred.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, or Red Hat Ansible
certified Specialist.
• ServiceNow experience.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise IT environments.
• Security, Privacy, and Regulatory/HPIAA Compliance
• Healthcare Environment Experience
