Job Description:

Position Purpose:

The Workday Reporting Specialist & Service Delivery Data Analyst role exists to provide trusted, accessible, and actionable HR and service delivery data that enables informed decision-making across The Salvation Army in Canada. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining reporting, analytics, data governance, and data quality processes across Workday, ServiceNow, and other HR systems to ensure data integrity and reporting system health.

By translating workforce and service delivery data into meaningful insights, the role supports operational effectiveness, workforce planning, continuous improvement, and executive reporting. It contributes to The Salvation Army's mission by enabling leaders to make evidence-based decisions, improving service delivery, and ensuring HR operations are supported by accurate and reliable data.

This is a remote, fixed-term position and is open to candidates all across Canada.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement HR reporting governance, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent, reliable, and compliant reporting across HR systems.

  • Manage the ServiceNow reporting request queue, delivering Workday reports, data extracts, and analyses through requirements gathering, testing, stakeholder approval, and release processes.

  • Lead enterprise-wide HR data audit and data quality initiatives that strengthen data accuracy, integrity, and trust in workforce reporting.

  • Establish and maintain governance processes and controls that support sustainable HR data integrity, accuracy, and system health.

  • Design and enhance manager and HR dashboards, hubs, and reporting solutions that improve data accessibility, self-service capabilities, and decision-making.

  • Create and maintain complex Workday reports and dashboards, including advanced, matrix, composite, worksheet, and trending reports that meet evolving business needs.

  • Analyze workforce and service delivery data to identify trends, risks, discrepancies, and opportunities that drive operational improvement and informed decision-making.

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, stakeholders, HR Technology teams, auditors, and project teams to deliver reporting expertise, training, and data-driven solutions that support organizational objectives.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • A university degree in computer science or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Workday certifications or equivalent years of hand-on experience

  • 3-5 years of experience with Workday reporting and dashboards

  • 2-3 years previous experience in Data & Reporting Governance

  • Experience supporting complex organizations and multi-system environments, delivering results on high-priority, high-visibility initiatives and projects.

  • Knowledge of project delivery methodologies, with experience contributing to cross-functional project teams and achieving project objectives.

  • Experience working in Agile environments, adapting to evolving priorities and supporting continuous improvement practices.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for analysis, reporting, and presentations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build relationships, gather requirements, and present information effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment, demonstrating adaptability, continuous learning, self-awareness, and a commitment to professional development; experience with Power BI, Tableau, and/or ServiceNow dashboards is considered an asset.

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is $85,321.60 to $106,641.60 with a maximum of $127,982.40.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.

The Salvation Army will provide reasonable accommodation upon request. Please email Recruitment.Accommodations@salvationarmy.ca if you have a need for any accommodation and we will be pleased to discuss this with you.
