Job Description

As the Manager, Environmental Compliance, you will lead Rockwell Automation's global environmental compliance program across our industrial automation portfolio. You will provide strategic and operational leadership for environmental compliance governance, regulatory execution, and cross-functional engagement to ensure products meet evolving global environmental regulations while enabling market access and business growth. You will report to Sr. Manager, Technology Standards and Conformity. This is a fully remote position. The successful candidate may work from any approved location within the designated hiring region and will collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment. Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

People and Functional Leadership

  • Lead the program executed by a global team of environmental compliance engineers and data specialists
  • Establish priorities, allocate resources, and ensure clear accountability across regulatory analysis, product assessments, and compliance data management
  • Build team capability to address emerging regulatory requirements and increasing business complexity
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Environmental Regulatory Strategy

  • Own and drive global environmental compliance strategy for product regulations, including but not limited to:
    • EU REACH and SVHC obligations
    • Global RoHS requirements (EU, China, Korea, etc.)
    • Global and regional PFAS regulations
    • Emerging and regionspecific requirements (e.g., Middle East)
    • Extended Producer Responsibility
  • Monitor global regulatory developments and translate complex requirements into clear, actionable internal guidance

Product Compliance Execution

  • Ensure effective environmental compliance support across the full product lifecycle
  • Partner with Business Units to embed environmental compliance requirements into product development, sourcing, and lifecycle management processes
  • Oversee the effective use and continuous improvement of compliance data systems and thirdparty tools

Program Execution and Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee execution of environmental conformity assessments, documentation, and supporting data activities
  • Drive continuous improvement in tools, processes, and data quality supporting environmental compliance
  • Monitor emerging regulatory trends and proactively evaluate potential impacts to products, suppliers, and business operations

CrossFunctional and Executive Engagement

  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding environmental conformity
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Legal to integrate environmental compliance requirements into product lifecycle processes.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Typically requires 5+ years of management experience.
  • Provide leadership on regulatory interpretations, internal positions, and escalation pathways.
  • Advise Business Units on market access questions, regulatory risk, and customer inquiries
  • Represent Rockwell Automation in external forums, industry associations, and regulatory engagements as appropriate
