Job description

Software Engineer

Must have energy experience โ€“ and if you ask me the industry โ€“ wake up! If you want a go at the SWE with strong Python experience, you can give it a try. The bar is high, the client knows that. In addition to Python, they are looking for the person to have frontend (react and typescript) experience. As well as experience in the energy sector โ€ฆ understanding how the grid works, etc. I am including all my notes on the role below โ€ฆ I have a candidate going through the interview process that looks strong, but she's just starting the process โ€ฆ no guarantees.

Location โ€“ PST Energy Domain Background Experience

  • Deep Python
  • Front End (Angular/React โ€“ TypeScript)
  • SQL โ€“ important
  • 6 months to 1 year to start with
  • On this need for Web app for these Model, we need: Angular and React TypeScript.

Here are some key things to find out more about Energy related experience: Solar Wind Deals/ Pricing Strategy, Fix price and float calculations, deal analytics, Net Present Value, ERec calculations, they just need to have an understanding on these from the energy perspective so they can better engage stakeholders and speak the language in understanding the needs and develop or enhance ML models or finetune existing models (Python) with better and quicker results.
