Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform deep dive performance forensics using Strobe, DB2 Visualizer, and exception reporting to isolate code level drivers of degradation
  • Ability to use SQL statements and DB2 processing to improve CPU usage and run time
  • Deliver technical code in COBOL, Java, Python, Go, JCL, & REXX
  • Must be comfortable with performing application code review for tuning recommendations
  • Daily review of exception report metrics to address anomalies as they occur
  • Provide routine awareness of technical solutions and education among the APM team
  • Assist in war room hosting for issues that arise impacting application support
  • Engage in technology proof of concept and proof of technology support
  • Provide mentorship to less experienced application performance technical team
  • Deliver 7x24x365 technical support for application improvements
  • Leverage AI tools daily to enhance analysis efficiency, streamline support activities, and improve overall productivity

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of application performance experience with proficiency in application tuning on large, multi-processor, multi-LPAR, Parallel Sysplex environments
  • Knowledge of z/OS, Strobe, & monitoring systems (e.g. Omegamon)
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of TSO, ISPF, JCL, and ability to modify job streams for batch
  • Working understanding of USS (Unix), CICS, Liberty, DB2, and SQL

Preferred Qualification:
  • Our environments are evolving to more usage of High Performance Compute (HPC) and experience with OpenShift, Linux, and Bash

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
