Data QA Analyst - 100% Remote (EST Hours) The client is looking for a Data QA Analyst to join the Data Partnership team at a large North Carolina healthcare system. To be successful, the candidate should be an expert in data profiling, root‐cause analysis, and creating strategies to ensure the quality of data delivered through big‐data and analytics platforms. The QA analyst will deliver solutions focused on state‐of‐the‐art data and analytics tools, including traditional and near real‐time data warehousing, big‐data, relational and document‐based databases, ELT toolsets, REST APIs and FHIR.

The ideal candidate is comfortable with data‐science platforms and has proven experience leveraging DevOps and test‐automation tools. Must Have Skills Experience with implementing and measuring Data Quality and Controls Testing of data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependencies, and workload management Test automation and Azure DevOps integration Extensive experience in Healthcare IT (clinical) Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with a variety of RDBMSs Root‐cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer business questions and identify improvement opportunities Familiarity with Python development API testing automation experience Nice‐to‐Have Skills Azure Databricks experience Experience with predictive modeling methods Knowledge of open‐source software solutions and the open‐source business model Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies Working experience with the FHIR specification implementation Responsibilities Manage data quality documentation; define and maintain data standards, definitions, and models Identify incorrect data, documenting issues, patterns, and gaps in the data and/or systems Provide accurate interpretation of data, applying knowledge for evaluation, analysis, and interpretation Ensure data integrity by implementing quality assurance practices Perform root‐cause analysis on data issues and recommend data quality controls to resolve gaps/issues Provide quality assurance oversight of data flows and APIs Contribute to agile story refinement and estimation Develop and execute test cases during sprints to verify that APIs and data pipelines meet acceptance criteria (Data Engineering Scrum Team) Collaborate with the Scrum Team and DevOps to automate test cases for CI/CD pipelines Work with relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, CosmosDB in Azure) Use data pipeline, workflow management, and ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory and Synapse Pipelines Apply the FHIR standard for healthcare data exchange Handle stream‐processing systems such as NextGen Mirth or Spark‐Streaming Write object‐oriented or function scripting (Python or Java) Test RESTful APIs and web applications Utilize cloud‐based analytics platforms such as Azure Synapse Compensation Hourly Rate: $40–$60 per hour Benefits Health, Dental, Vision Insurance Application Deadline Applications accepted until October 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM CST We are an Equal Pay Employer.
