• Conduct thorough intake assessments and screenings to identify mental health needs, which will inform tailored treatment plans for students.
• Provide short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention to students experiencing a range of mental health challenges, ensuring they receive the support they need in critical moments.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and developmental workshops that address pertinent issues affecting students, such as stress management, anxiety, and self-esteem.
• Collaborate with academic advisors, student organizations, and residential life staff to create a holistic support system for students, promoting mental wellness awareness across campus.
• Engage in outreach initiatives including wellness events and mental health awareness campaigns, helping to destigmatize mental health discussions in the educational environment.
• Maintain up-to-date and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring all documentation is precise and secure.

Your primary focus will be on college-aged students, who face diverse challenges that can impact their mental health and academic performance. You will address issues such as academic stress, interpersonal relationships, cultural adjustments, and mental health disorders, working to provide them with the tools and coping mechanisms necessary for success.

• Possess an active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is essential for consideration.
• Demonstrate a robust understanding of the unique challenges faced by students in a college environment, with the ability to tailor approaches to individual needs.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with and support a diverse student population.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and brief therapy models appropriate for a university setting.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to the fast-paced environment typical of an academic institution.

• Experience working with adolescents or young adults in clinical or educational settings.
• Prior involvement in developing outreach programs or mental health initiatives within a school or university context.
• Knowledge of legal and ethical guidelines concerning confidentiality and mental health practice.
