Pay Range: $90k-107k base

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Public Relations & Reactive Media Support - Serve as the day-to-day contact for PR, reputation management and communications agency partners, leading execution of public relations strategies.

  • Support reactive media relations efforts by researching inbound requests, gathering background information, and preparing executive summaries and draft responses.

  • Coordinate approval workflows for media responses, press materials and reactive communications

  • Assist in executing proactive public relations campaigns aligned to company priorities and brand objectives

  • Support development of press releases, messaging materials and external communications content

  • Monitor media coverage and contribute to monthly communications and KPI reporting

  • Digital Reputation Management - Operationalize reputation management strategies to support 30 market locations, partnering with cross-functional teams to support reputation improvement initiatives

  • Monitor online sentiment, SERP visibility, review trends and reputation risks across platforms including Google Reviews and other consumer review channels

  • Leverage digital tools to identify trends, risks and opportunities and contribute insights and recommendations that improve sentiment, ratings and overall brand perception

  • Storytelling & Content Support - Serve as an internal journalist by identifying and developing external storytelling opportunities across the organization

  • Conduct interviews and gather information to develop feature stories, executive narratives and newsroom content

  • Support ongoing brand narrative development for Progress Residential and BH

  • Contribute content for owned channels, including newsroom and LinkedIn support as needed

  • Process & Cross-Functional Coordination - Maintain PR policies, processes and standard operating procedures, ensuring communications activities align with established approval processes and brand standards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field

  • 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or reputation management

  • Strong experience supporting reactive media relations and online reputation management initiatives.

  • Familiarity with reputation monitoring and media intelligence tools such as Meltwater, SEMrush, Cision, Muck Rack, Brandwatch or similar platforms

  • Excellent writing, editing and research skills with strong attention to detail

  • Experience coordinating agency partners and managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to analyze data and trends to develop actionable recommendations

  • Strong judgment and ability to manage sensitive or high-visibility issues professionally

  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-moving corporate environment

  • Corporate communications and reputation management experience strongly preferred
