We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Driscoll Psychological and Counseling Center. This role will primarily operate in a virtual outpatient office, which allows for a work-life balance that is often challenging in traditional settings. • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments including psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and risk assessments to identify patient needs.
• Collaborate with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that are culturally sensitive and tailored to specific goals.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), in various formats such as individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients in acute distress.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards, including progress notes and treatment plans.
• Deliver psychoeducation to empower patients and their families with strategies for managing mental health challenges effectively.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive treatment for clients.
• Conduct regular outcome assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Stay abreast of current research and emerging trends in mental health to continuously enhance clinical practice.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality, ensuring that patient information is handled respectfully and securely.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to establish rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling role.
• Experience in trauma-informed care is highly desired, enhancing your ability to support clients effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate efficient documentation and communication.
