U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only

About The Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to drive business solution designs for key strategic initiatives within the Pharmacy Services technology organization of a major healthcare company.

In this role, you will act as a senior architecture SME, owning end-to-end solution design across business, application/integration, data, platform, and security layers. You will lead cloud modernization efforts (with strong GCP focus), apply Agentic AI capabilities, and provide technical leadership to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only.

What You'll Do:
  • Own business solution designs for key strategic initiatives, covering business, application/integration, data, infrastructure, platform, and security architectures.
  • Serve as the chief SME architect for strategic initiatives, leveraging significant enterprise architecture and hands-on delivery experience.
  • Advise senior leadership on emerging technologies and the strategic technical vision for the Pharmacy Services IT tower.
  • Facilitate adoption of cloud-native / cloud-first architectures (GCP preferred).
  • Provide cradle-to-grave solution leadership and oversight for key strategic initiatives.
  • Lead architecture and design reviews; identify gaps and recommend design changes.
  • Perform Buy vs Build analysis with qualitative and quantitative rationale.
  • Develop and promote reference architectures for cloud-native applications.
  • Lead proofs-of-concept and technology deep-dives.
  • Advise and assist application development teams with technical roadblocks (performance, integration, etc.).
  • Identify cost optimization and technical debt reduction opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams to deliver solutions that achieve business outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
  • 8–10 years of design and development experience.
  • 1–3+ years as a Solutions Architect in a large enterprise environment.
  • 2+ years of hands-on cloud implementation experience.
  • Must have hands-on AI experience, including Agentic AI.
  • SME-level understanding of cloud design and architecture for at least one major public cloud (GCP strongly preferred; Azure or AWS acceptable).
  • Strong technical skills in application and integration architecture, security, automation, and working knowledge of IT operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Domain-Driven Design.
  • Experience with streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka connecting modern applications and legacy infrastructure.
  • Hands-on coding ability and proficiency with modern technology stacks (Cloud, Agentic AI, DevSecOps, Kafka, etc.) to develop prototypes and POCs.
  • Ability to solve business problems using AI/ML (including GenAI) and/or Robotic Process Automation.
  • Understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise development methodologies (Agile/XP), including DevSecOps and DataOps.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • GCP Architect certification.
  • Experience in the Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) or broader healthcare industry.
  • Prior experience rationalizing application portfolios or driving large-scale modernization programs.
