Job description

Position Summary The Manager, Business Development & Partnerships will lead the expansion of ZAPI Group's battery charging solutions in North America. This role requires a hunter mentality and must be hungry to identify, pursue, and win opportunities with new targeted motive and stationary OEMs. The person must have the ability to influence critical key decision makers within the respective new accounts and build credibility.

They must also be willing to challenge the status quo while maintaining healthy relationships within the organization as well with prospective accounts. Responsibilities Develop a growth strategy that drives both financial success and customer satisfaction. Build and maintain long‐term partnerships with customers.

Actively expand the customer base and opportunities funnel by coordinating and strategizing with product management and marketing teams. Map current and future business strengths and customers' needs to uncover growth opportunities. Track vertical industry market movements and trends.

Report on successes and identify areas for improvement, fostering a culture of innovation. Collaborate closely with the marketing department on promotional strategy and activities. Align with product management to ensure that the product portfolio and roadmap are the correct tools for the markets and accounts you are pursuing.

Coordinate with the other ZAPI Group Business Development and Product Management teams to provide market‐based input for product development. Other duties as required. Qualifications Education in Business or Engineering with 10 or more years of experience in business development or product management fields, or a combination of relevant education and experience.

Technical experience selling or promoting batteries or battery chargers, including lead acid and lithium systems is a plus. Experience with a B2B OEM selling model and three‐to‐five‐year development cycles. Experience introducing OEM customers to new products and technology innovations on motive electrification projects.

Proven experience with engaging with C‐suite leaders. Proven track record of executing major partnership agreements that generate significant revenue and margin opportunities or provide leverage to the organization as a means to accomplish growth projections. Excellent public communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to travel frequently within North America and internationally (30‐50%); must live near an airport hub of a major airline. Strong priority‐setting skills. Prior experience with Salesforce or a similar application.

Location Remote Home Office – Greater Chicago, Greater Atlanta or Greater Toronto Areas Compensation On‐Target Earnings (OTE) range for US‐based candidates: 168,000 – 182,000.

On‐Target Earnings (OTE) range for CAD‐based candidates: 150,000 – 170,000. The compensation offered will be determined by experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills.
