Sunrise Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a fully remote capacity. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health screenings and assessments to evaluate client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling services through virtual sessions, focusing on innovative approaches tailored to individual client circumstances.
  • Facilitate therapy sessions for both children and adults, adapting techniques to meet the unique needs of different age groups and backgrounds.
  • Engage in crisis intervention to assist clients in acute distress, utilizing effective de-escalation strategies and support resources.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to coordinate care, refer clients to additional services, and consult on complex case management issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma-related disorders. Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A valid California State LMHC credential is required to practice.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in mental health counseling or a related setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and trust with clients, families, and colleagues.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in community mental health settings or non-profit organizations.
  • Background in utilizing telehealth platforms and technology in delivering mental health services.
  • Training in specific therapeutic methodologies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), or Trauma-Informed Care.
