As a Mental Health Counselor at Greene Health, you'll work primarily from home, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. The nature of remote work, combined with our detox center focus, means you will engage with clients through virtual platforms, using modern telehealth technologies. • Perform detailed assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver individualized evidence-based therapeutic services including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, adapting methods based on client preferences and circumstances.
• Work closely with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate holistic care, ensuring continuity and effectiveness in treatment.
• Provide timely and compassionate crisis intervention for clients in acute distress, using clinical judgment and empathy to navigate challenging situations.
• Engage in community outreach programs to enhance mental health awareness and combat stigma, facilitating workshops and discussions that empower others to seek help.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals undergoing detoxification, who may be grappling with substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and other co-occurring mental health conditions. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide compassionate care will be crucial in helping clients feel safe and supported as they navigate their path to recovery.

• Possession of an independent and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A minimum of a master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required; candidates with a doctorate degree are preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with clients and fostering therapeutic relationships.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity when working with clients from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, ensuring all client documentation meets regulatory standards and is completed in a timely manner.

• Experience working in a detox or addiction recovery setting is highly desirable.
• A background in group therapy facilitation is an asset, as is familiarity with integrative treatment planning methods.
• Previous involvement in community outreach initiatives or educational programming to reduce mental health stigma is a plus.
