• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, and ongoing assessments to establish treatment plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Coordinate with Reentry Social Workers to facilitate effective discharge planning services.
• Complete all required documentation and statistical reports in compliance with organizational policies and state regulations.
• Collaborate with the Department of Correction to secure necessary access to patients, appropriate housing, and treatment disposition.
• Serve as a facilitator of group therapy sessions, psychoeducational sessions, and process groups aimed at improving mental health awareness and coping strategies.
• Participate in clinical supervision and case conferences, ensuring alignment on treatment approaches for students receiving mental health support.
• Lead interdisciplinary mental health and medical rounds, enhancing communication between healthcare providers and educational staff.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans based on ongoing evaluation and assessment of each student's mental health status.
• May supervise social work interns or student volunteers as necessary, providing guidance and fostering their professional development.
• Potentially conduct psychological testing as assigned to gather comprehensive insights into students' mental health needs.

The LCSW will primarily work with children and adolescents, addressing various mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to behavioral challenges and trauma responses. • A Master's or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline is required.
• Must hold current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a therapist in the state of California, specifically as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Strong clinical skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients and their families.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential for effectively collaborating with school staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and personal growth within the field of mental health.

• Experience in a school-based mental health setting is highly desirable, particularly in working with children and adolescents.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and treatment modalities appropriate for youth.
• Prior involvement with multidisciplinary teams focusing on holistic patient care and treatment planning.
