Role Overview

The Procurement Manager will play a critical role in building and scaling HealthyBaby’s supply base to support a growing and evolving product portfolio. This role is responsible for sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, and material strategy across key categories including diapers & wipes (personal care), skincare, supplements, and any future expansion.

The Procurement Manager will act as a partner to Operations, Product Development, and Finance — ensuring that the materials, components, and supplier relationships behind every HealthyBaby product meet the highest standards of quality, safety, performance, and cost discipline.

The ideal candidate understands how products are made, how materials behave, and how sourcing decisions impact everything from product integrity to margin to brand trust.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Supplier Development
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and manufacturing partners aligned with HealthyBaby’s standards for quality, safety, and performance.
  • Build and maintain a diversified, resilient supplier base across key materials and components.
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with suppliers, acting as a trusted partner while holding them accountable to performance standards.
  • Continuously assess supplier capabilities, innovation potential, and scalability.
Material & Component Sourcing
  • Own sourcing of raw materials, components, and packaging across product categories.
  • Partner with Product Development/Commercialization team to identify optimal materials that balance:
    • Performance
    • Safety and health standards
    • Cost efficiency
    • Manufacturability
  • Support evaluation of new materials and innovations that align with HealthyBaby’s health-first positioning.
Cost Management & Negotiation
  • Lead supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing while maintaining uncompromising quality standards.
  • Develop a deep understanding of cost drivers (materials, labor, logistics, scale) and proactively identify opportunities for cost improvement.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to manage cost of goods (COGS) and margin targets.
  • Build cost models and should-cost analyses where appropriate.
Product Development & Commercialization Support
  • Work closely with Product Development/Commercialization team to support new product launches.
  • Ensure sourcing strategies are aligned with product timelines, specifications, and quality expectations.
  • Identify and mitigate sourcing risks early in the development process.
  • Support scale-up from pilot to full production.
Supply Continuity & Risk Management
  • Monitor supply risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure continuity of supply across all critical materials and components.
  • Manage dual sourcing or backup suppliers where appropriate.
  • Respond to disruptions quickly and effectively.
Quality & Compliance Partnership
  • Ensure suppliers meet HealthyBaby’s standards for quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and transparency.
  • Partner with the Commercialization team to address supplier performance issues.
  • Support audits, certifications, and ongoing supplier evaluations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with:
    • Operations (manufacturing, planning, logistics)
    • Product Development/Commercialization team (materials, formulation, specifications)
    • Marketing (claims, materials integrity, storytelling)
    • Finance (cost management, budgeting)
  • Serve as a key connector between upstream supply and downstream product strategy.
Systems, Data & Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain accurate procurement data, supplier records, and pricing structures.
  • Support implementation of procurement tools, systems, and reporting as the company scales.
  • Leverage data and, where appropriate, AI-enabled tools to improve sourcing decisions, cost visibility, and supplier performance tracking.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • 5–8+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, ideally within babycare, personal care, beauty, food, or wellness categories.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and supplier ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively and manage supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with cost models and data.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product Development and Operations teams.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Mission-driven mindset aligned with HealthyBaby’s values.
