Partner Integration Associate

Role summary

Join a team that helps partners connect to athenahealth's platform through clear, scalable, and well-scoped integration work. In this role, you will support technical discovery, project coordination, and partner-facing communication for integration initiatives that help improve interoperability across theathenaOneecosystem. This position is based inBelfast, ME/ Boston, MA / Remote-USas ahybridrole. The role reports to theManager, Partner Integrations.

Team summary

We are seeking a Partner Integration Associate to join the Marketplace team within the Corporate Strategy & Development division. In this role, you will support athenahealth's partner ecosystem by providing interoperability consulting and scoping services for prospective and existing athenahealth partners. You will help partners adopt athenahealth-recommended integration approaches, understand platform capabilities, and implement scalable solutions that support ourathenaOnecustomer base.

You will collaborate with a wide range of external stakeholders-from technical teams to executive leadership-and work cross-functionally with Partner Success Management, Partner Operations, Product, and Engineering to resolve partner challenges and inform product direction. This role requiresstrong communicationskills, technical acumen, and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and functions.

The ideal candidate brings a background in interoperability or healthcare IT, experience managing complex technical projects, and a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The Corporate Strategy and Development (CSD) division playsan important rolein helping to drive athenahealth's growth agenda. The division's charter spans strategy, partnerships and M&A. CSD is a high-visibility and high impact group that willinterface acrossall levels of the company providing quantitative and qualitative analytical decision support on cross-company strategic issues and deal execution.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinatepartner integration workstreams from scoping through implementation support, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and dependencies are documented and tracked.

  • Supporttechnical discovery sessions with partners to gather requirements, clarify use cases, and translate needs into actionable integration plans.

  • Partnerwith internal stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Partner Success Management, and Partner Operations to resolve integration issues and keep work aligned.

  • Prepareclear written materials, including technical summaries, meeting notes, and partner-facing correspondence.

  • Assesspartner integration approaches against athenahealth platform capabilities and recommend paths that support scalability and maintainability.

  • Facilitateissue resolution byidentifyingrisks, escalating blockers, and helping coordinate follow-up actions across teams.

  • Analyzeintegration requests, implementation impacts, and project status to support decision-making and prioritization.

  • ApplyAI-enabled tools and practices to improve task organization, drafting, research, and workflow efficiency, while using human judgment to review outputs for accuracy, context, and appropriateness.

  • Contributeto process improvements byidentifyingopportunities to streamline coordination, documentation, and partner support activities.

  • Maintainaccuraterecords of partner interactions, project progress, and key decisionsin accordance withteam standards.

Expected Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degreein Business, Health Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2+ years of experiencein technical project management with cross-functional scope.

  • 2+ years of experienceinhealthcareIT, interoperability, ora relatedfield.

  • Strong communicationand technical writing skills, withdemonstratedability to explain technical information clearly.

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and/or HL7 standards.

  • Knowledge of Agile methods and Lean or continuous improvement practices is a plus.

  • Experienceworking with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate technical projects or implementations.

  • Experiencesupporting structured documentation, planning, and issue tracking in a professional environment.

  • Willingness to travelas needed.

Expected Compensation

$51,000 - $87,000

The base salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple factors, including job-related experience, relevantknowledge and skills, how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles,and geographical market rates. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package - depending on role eligibility, we offer both short and long-term incentives by way of an annual discretionary bonus plan, variable compensation plan, and equity plans.
