DESCRIPTION:
Halcyon Days Consulting, LLC (HDC) is a veteran owned small business that specializes in the design and engineering of Tactical Mission Networks (TMN). This is a unique opportunity to join a small and high-performing team committed to delivering cloud platforms for exciting missions. 
HDC is seeking a Compliance Officer to oversee and maintain company-wide compliance with federal contracting regulations, internal policies, data-security requirements, and industry standards. This role will help ensure HDC's operations remain audit-ready, efficient, and aligned with applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company compliance policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Monitor adherence to federal contracting regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and other applicable requirements
  • Oversee policy documentation, updates, training materials, and company-wide compliance communications
  • Support internal audits, corrective action plans, and risk mitigation initiatives
  • Partner with leadership, finance, HR and technical teams to ensure consistent and accurate execution of compliance requirements 
  • Maintain regulatory documentation, certifications, and audit-ready records
  • Review contacts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements for compliance risk 
  • Track legislative, regulatory, and policy changes, providing guidance on operational impacts
  • Assist with security, privacy, and data-protection compliance in coordination with IT and Information Assurance teams
  • Serve as an internal resource for compliance-related questions and training needs
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, compliance, legal studies, accounting, or related field 
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory oversight, federal contracting or similar roles
  • Working knowledge of federal contracting standards (FAR/DFARS), company policy implementation, and audit processes
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy 
  • Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical business processes
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately 
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Experience supporting small businesses in the federal contracting space 
  • Experience with NIST 800-171, CMMC, or other security/compliance frameworks 
  • Compliance certifications (e.g., CCEP, CCP, CPCM, CFCM)
  • Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or cybersecurity focused organizations 

SALARY RANGE: 
$80,000-$110,000 
This salary range is an hourly exempt (exempt from overtime) position. Benefits are provided in addition to the salary range.
