JOB TITLE:  Water Treatment Sales Representative - Clear Water Services  

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Sales, Clear Water Services  

STATUS: Full time, exempt  

LOCATION: Washington State 

SALARY RANGE: $90,000-$110,000/yr depending on experience + uncapped commission

Position Summary: 

We are seeking a technically driven, agile-minded, and naturally curious individual to join our team as a Water Treatment Sales Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales through a solution‑focused, technical lens, business development, and ensuring a high-quality client experience— all within the water treatment solutions realm. In specific, you will identify, develop, and close new sales opportunities, as well as support existing client relationships, across Washington State. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Business Development  
    • Must operate and work within our Mission-Driven Culture Core Values and Principles and encourage others to do the same.    
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout Washington and surrounding markets.  
    • Create and maintain strategic target account lists focused on contractors, and industrial facilities.  
    • Conduct outbound prospecting through phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking, and in-person visits.  
    • Schedule and attend customer meetings to introduce company capabilities.  
    • Assist with conference attendance, trade shows, lunch-and-learns, and networking events. 
  • Customer Support  
    • Support existing client relationships by maintaining regular communication and identifying additional opportunities.  
    • Participate in project site walks, field investigations, and customer meetings.  
    • Assist senior sales staff with proposals, follow-up, and project coordination.  
    • Help transition awarded projects from sales to operations while maintaining strong customer relationships. 
  • Technical Sales  
    • Learn the fundamentals of water treatment, stormwater compliance, and groundwater treatment.  
    • Develop an understanding of treatment equipment, chemical treatment, filtration systems, rentals, and permanent installations.  
    • Communicate technical solutions clearly to customers with varying levels of expertise.  
    • Work with engineering and operations teams to develop practical customer solutions. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 2-5 years of experience in technical sales, field operations, or support roles, preferably in the construction, environmental, engineering, or industrial realms. 
  • CRM proficiency (Zoho, Salesforce, or similar preferred). 
  • Comfortability operating with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, or related discipline. 
  • Experience working with contractors, municipalities, consultants, or industrial clients. 
  • Previous experience in water treatment, environmental consulting, construction, utilities, or industrial equipment. 
  • Experience reading construction plans or technical drawings. 

Licensing & Special Requirements: 

  • Subject to a criminal background check. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license. 

Working Conditions: 

Primarily on the road throughout Washington State. Must be willing to be on the road for the majority of the work week with some outside operational hours required. Must be able to operate in inclement weather, and follow proper safety procedures at all work locations, including proper use of PPE.
