Bridge Over Troubled Waters Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical services with a focus on developing and implementing personalized, recovery-based treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
  • Continuously assessing the treatment needs of clients, utilizing evidence-based practices and methodologies.
  • Facilitating the development, monitoring, and execution of comprehensive individual service plans that support the clientโ€™s recovery journey.
  • Empowering clients by helping them build essential coping, problem-solving, and communication skills through individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Educating clients on available community resources and advocating for their access to those services, fostering independence and self-sufficiency.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adults aged 18 and older who are navigating the complexities of mental illness. Your role will involve addressing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders. By focusing on a recovery-based model, you will be instrumental in assisting clients to achieve community stability and resilience.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Masterโ€™s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • A current and valid state license, including options such as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist (PsyD).
  • The ability to practice independently without supervision, ensuring compliance with all state regulations.
  • No history of disciplinary actions on the license.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills combined with a compassionate nature and a strong commitment to client confidentiality.
  • Technological proficiency, including familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic medical records, and the ability to maintain a stable Wi-Fi connection.
Preferred Experience

Candidates with the following experiences will be given preference:

  • Previous experience providing direct clinical services in a similar mental health setting.
  • Proficiency in developing and facilitating skill-building activities aimed at improving daily living and community integration.
  • Experience in supporting clients in anger management, symptom monitoring, and behavior modification.
Compensation and Benefits
