Wage Range: $28.83 - $46.14 per hour
Hybrid Remote in Washington State only
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
Job Summary:
Responsible for processing, auditing, and updating electronic employee data and employee time records in a timely, complete, and accurate manner. Verify payroll records are complete to ensure proper payment of wages to employees and accurate financial statement reporting.
Primary Duties:
1. Processes employee payroll information (timesheets, deductions authorizations, etc.). Prints and transmits paychecks, ensuring accurate and timely payment made to employees according to the Fair Labor Standards Act, and union contracts for each payroll period.
2. Ensures accuracy of any premium pay changes, contract changes, union roster changes, and union due deductions.
3. Remains current with Human Resources policies, Payroll policies, and public policy changes affecting payroll rules and guidelines.
4. Processes off-cycle checks and verifies payments are correct.
5. Processes garnishments and communicates garnishment information to all parties.
6. Responsible for answering employee questions in a timely manner. Analyzes and responds to employee inquiries and concerns and involves other resources/staff as needed.
7. Submit union reports and issues checks for union dues and other miscellaneous deductions.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
High school graduation or equivalent
1 year of payroll/accounting experience
General office experience
Data Entry skills
Key-board and 10-key by touch
Outstanding organization ability with strong attention to detail
DESIRED for the position:
Associate degree
Computer skills with ERP system
Experience in a health care organization or a heavily unionized environment
