As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our suppliers deliver high-quality products and services that meet our stringent requirements. You will leverage your analytical skills, technical expertise, and collaborative spirit to drive continuous improvement throughout our supply base and contribute to the success of our programs. This is a dynamic role with opportunities for growth and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and assess supplier performance, identify areas for improvement, develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans through implementation and closure, ensuring timely and effective resolution of quality issues.
• Conduct supplier audits, champion Structured Problem-Solving efforts with Suppliers, perform Production Process Verifications (PPV's), and participate in PPAP review processes.
• Analyze supplier defect/performance data and utilize analytical tools to identify trends and drive preventative measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams - including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program Quality - to proactively mitigate risks and ensure supplier compliance.
• Champion a proactive quality culture within the supply base with APQP principles and tools.
• Review and interpret technical documentation such as drawings, specifications, and requirements.
This is a remote position; however, the selected individual must live in or around the Western Region of the United States to be able to travel to/visit suppliers in the area. Relocation is not available.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree with 2-4+ years of experience or 6-8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Possess Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communicates effectively at all levels of an organization with interpersonal relationship building skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Change agent driven towards Continuous Improvement and achieving Results
  • Read and interpret technical documents, as well as a working knowledge of GD&T
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suits (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of the principles and the purpose of a Quality Management System (e.g. AS9100)
  • Proficient in data analytics.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical field
  • Direct knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain logistics from raw material to finished goods
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality System, AS9102C First Article Requirements, AS9145 APQP/PPAP Requirements, and Source Inspection.
  • Experience in Product Production Line Validation, test, equipment, instrumentation qualifications, and Measurement System Analyses
  • Familiarity with APQP and PPAP and process tools such as PFMEA and Control Plan
  • Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma, a Green or Black Belt certification from a recognized organization
  • Experience with 8D/RCCA activities
  • Strong commodity-specific technical knowledge related to suppliers being supported, this may include some of the following dependent upon your area of expertise:
  • Familiarity with industry or military standards
  • Working knowledge of subtractive and additive manufacturing processes such as Machining, EDM, Molding, Casting, 3d Printing, Composites, Injection Molding, and associated GD&T
  • Current or recent certification in IPC-A-620

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $88189 - $149922
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
