The role of the Licensed Professional Counselor is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and balance in your professional life. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your duties will include:

• Conducting comprehensive initial assessments and formulating personalized treatment plans for clients to ensure tailored therapy.
• Delivering therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups based on evidence-based practices and clinical expertise.
• Employing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic principles, and solution-focused brief therapy to meet the diverse needs of clients.
• Working in partnership with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to develop and implement holistic treatment strategies that enhance client care.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
• Engaging in continuous professional development to stay informed about new research, methodologies, and trends in mental health to provide the best possible care.

To successfully fill this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling or a related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
• Demonstrated ability to meet internal credentialing requirements in clinical settings.
• A minimum of one year of professional experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.
• Experience in assessment, diagnosis, and conducting both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and basic technology for clinical documentation and communication.

While not mandatory, prior experience with specific populations or therapeutic modalities, as well as knowledge of billing procedures and insurance processes, will be advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will also be beneficial in streamlining client management and documentation.
