Overview

This position serves as an analytical technical expert and trusted advisor for enterprise systems, Enterprise Integration, and technology governance, partnering closely with Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Development, Risk, and Operations teams. Responsible for assessing architectural hygiene, resiliency, scalability, maintainability, and supportability of technology solutions while identifying risks, technical debt, integration complexity, and opportunities for modernization.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis, Insights & Performance Management  
  • Analyze and define business, operational, application, and technology performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement. 
  • Define, Develop, and maintain metrics, KPIs, Power-Bi dashboards, and reporting that measure governance effectiveness, technology adoption, operational health, and business outcomes. 
  • Evaluate middleware platforms, APIs, messaging technologies, and integration patterns for adherence to enterprise standards and architectural principles. 
  • Establish and maintain governance standards for middleware services, event streams, messaging platforms, and integration technologies. 
  • Partner with business, technology, and SRE teams to establish SLO-SLI performance metrics  and success criteria for initiatives and solutions. 
  • Assess service-to-service communication, event-driven architectures, messaging solutions, and integration dependencies to identify operational and architectural risks. 
  •  
  1. Business Requirements & Technology Strategy  
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering teams to evaluate current-state and target-state architectures, ensuring solutions align with strategic technology direction.  
  • Analyze application architectures, system interfaces, APIs, data flows, and infrastructure dependencies to identify design risks and improvement opportunities.  
  • Participate in architecture reviews and solution design sessions, providing recommendations on scalability, resiliency, security, maintainability, and operational supportability.  
  • Develop and maintain business capability mappings, solution context diagrams, process flows, and system interaction models.  
  • Assess the technical impact of proposed changes across applications, platforms, integrations, and business processes. 
  •  
  1. Technology Enablement & Continuous Improvement 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for business and technology stakeholders regarding enterprise systems, processes, and capabilities. 
  • Define and Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, user experience, process automation, and data quality. 
  • Coordinate with technical stakeholders to resolve complex issues and implement enhancements. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data, stakeholder feedback, and industry best practices. 
  1. Enterprise Problem Solving & Solution Delivery  
  • Lead the assessment of complex business and technology challenges by partnering across business units, technology teams, risk functions, and third-party providers. 
  • Analyze current-state processes, controls, systems, and dependencies to identify root causes and develop sustainable solutions. 
  • Drive end-to-end solution delivery, coordinating internal and external resources to achieve desired business outcomes. 
  • Facilitate decision-making among stakeholders with competing priorities and requirements. 
  • Develop business cases, implementation roadmaps, and success metrics for strategic initiatives. 
  1. Technology Governance & Risk Management 
  •  
  • Ensure initiatives adhere to enterprise technology standards, architecture principles, information security requirements, and risk management frameworks. 
  • Partner with Technology Risk, Information Security, Compliance, and Audit teams to identify and mitigate technology-related risks. 
  • Evaluate process and system controls and recommend improvements to strengthen governance and operational effectiveness. 
  • Support governance forums and decision-making bodies through development of analysis, recommendations, and reporting. 
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce governance standards, policies, and best practices across the enterprise. 
  • Support the development and maintenance of enterprise governance frameworks, reference development documentation, and technical user guidelines. 
  • Measure and report on Governance effectiveness through defined metrics and key performance indicators. 
  •  Assess technology risks from an architectural perspective, including application obsolescence, integration complexity, infrastructure dependencies, security exposures, and operational resilience.  
  • Evaluate adherence to enterprise architecture standards, cloud strategies, technology lifecycle requirements, and engineering best practices.  
  • Challenge solution designs and implementation approaches when technical, operational, or architectural risks are identified. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 6+ years supporting enterprise technology solutions, application portfolios, or technology transformation initiatives. 
  • Experience partnering directly with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security teams. 
  • Experience evaluating system integrations, APIs, application dependencies, cloud solutions, and enterprise platforms. 
  • Experience supporting technology governance, architecture review boards, or technology risk assessments. 
  • Banking or financial services technology experience preferred. 
  • Experience evaluating application architectures, integrations, APIs, middleware platforms, data flows, and infrastructure dependencies.
