This position is available as either an in-person, hybrid, or remote role, the key attribute for our team is a mesh of technical skills and appetite for progress. What you will do:

  • Familiar with the documentation, design, and implementation of Power BI/ Power Platform solutions
  • Possess strong analytical skills to assess customer needs
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-100, PL-200)
  • Experience supporting Army or DoD digital transformation initiatives
  • Knowledge of Power BI, data analysis, data reporting, and custom API integration
  • Experience with Agile and ITIL v4 methodologies
  • Working knowledge of federal enterprise systems

Job Responsibilities:

The specific duties include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deploy solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, with a focus on Power BI (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Administer and manage the Power BI Service tenant, including workspace creation and capacity management
  • Configure and maintain Power BI gateway connections for on-premises data sources
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Power BI-related support tickets, resolving issues related to access, data refresh, report errors, and performance.
  • Provide Tier 2 Remote Support for Microsoft Power BI from within the Enterprise Ticketing System
  • Coordinate with Tier 3 Support, as required
  • Troubleshoot Environment errors and issues from end-user organizations
  • Assist with reviewing knowledge bases for the Army’s end-users against true process requirements
  • Provide documentation, operational procedures, and support to end users and administrators.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Power BI components.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Power BI and Power Platform updates and best practices.

What you will bring: 

  • Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Analysis, Information Systems, or related field. This requirement may be met with appropriate job and education experience
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis or developer administration, with at least 2 years focused on the Power BI/similar program
  • Experience with administering the Microsoft Power Platform
  • Proficiency in Power BI administration
  • Experience with integration of multiple data sources to semantic models
  • Strong understanding of security roles, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, and governance in Power BI
  • Familiarity with Army IT environments and compliance requirements
  • Successfully passed the Microsoft PL-300 exam for Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate, or able to pass the exam within 3-months
  • An industry-recognized credential related to a Data Analysis and Visualization program/system, such as Power BI or Tableau.

At JCS Solutions, compensation is based on a number of factors such as location, qualifications, and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $95,000.00 - $130,000.00
