Wellcure Mental Therapeutic Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team on a full-time basis. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, making it easier to engage with clients in their communities, whether in their homes or virtually. Serving as a contracted therapist, you will be supported by a dedicated Child Family Treatment Team comprised of professionals from various disciplines. We utilize modern telehealth technologies, ensuring that you can effectively reach and assist clients remotely while fostering an inclusive and respectful therapeutic environment.

• Conduct individual therapy sessions that can take place within the client’s home, at community settings, or through online platforms, depending on the needs of each client.
• Provide specialized support for anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development to enhance each client’s daily functioning.
• Employ evidence-based practices to proactively address high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and aggression, helping clients find safer alternatives.
• Work closely with adolescents and their caregivers to build decision-making skills, empowering them to manage behavioral challenges effectively at home.
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, following all organizational protocols.
• Participation in monthly team meetings to discuss ongoing cases and contribute insights for continuous service improvement.

This position primarily focuses on supporting children aged 3-20 who are experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. • A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a closely related field is mandatory.
• Candidates must hold an active, unrestricted license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York.
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours weekly during after-school hours, with flexibility for weekend appointments being highly advantageous.
• Strong foundation in positive behavior support strategies is essential.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for potential in-home client visits.
• Applicants must successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, in accordance with state regulations.

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), is highly desirable.
• Experience in delivering community-based therapy and family-centered practices will be advantageous in this role.
• Previous involvement with evidence-based therapeutic models and community outreach programs is a plus.
