Civitech is a public benefit corporation dedicated to creating a fairer and more equitable democracy by building the tools and infrastructure needed to increase civic participation, empower Democratic candidates to win, and support the success of progressive causes.
Since its founding in 2019, over 500 partners-a range of nonprofit organizations, national political committees, and individual campaigns-have utilized Civitech's tools to reach tens of millions of voters to help create a more equitable and progressive democracy.
The Account Executive is a professional, customer-centric sales person with a technology sales background in government who will grow our business and number of customers. Candidates must have previous experience successfully prospecting over a large geographical region. This is an individual contributor sales position that requires a high degree of autonomy, activity, and attention to detail and enjoys working in a disruptive market. Civitech is a remote-first company hiring within our current footprint of 27 states (AL, AK, CA, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IL, MA, MD, MN, NC, ND, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, SD, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI, WY); Civitech does have an office in Austin, TX. The Account Executive will be expected to work hours applicable to the sales territory they own.
About our Sales Team: The Sales Team at Civitech is focused on empowering Democratic campaigns and progressive organizations with cutting-edge technology and data solutions. By building and nurturing strategic partnerships, we drive the adoption of our tools and expand Civitech's impact nationwide.
The Account Executive is on our Sales Team, and reports to our VP of Sales. The Account Executive is an individual contributor.

What You Will Do:
  • Manage relationships with current Civitech customers, leading regular strategic conversations to identify additional opportunity and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Develop and execute a new business/prospecting plan for your territory
  • Conduct industry research, identify market trends, best practices, and leverage referrals to identify prospective customers
  • Develop customized outreach strategies to target and engage prospects
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline across the territory and accurately forecast deal values and timelines
  • Lead high-level conversations with prospects to qualify client needs and align the value of your solution
  • Attend virtual and in-person events within the progressive ecosystem
  • Collaborate with the extended sales team on opportunities embracing role as consultant
  • Log all sales activities and client contacts in HubSpot with a focus on data hygiene
  • Other duties as assigned

About You:
  • You have 2+ years of consultative sales experience and success as an individual sales contributor, meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • You demonstrate success prospecting, finding, and closing opportunities through your own outreach efforts via Sales Navigator, email, in-person, and virtual networking (75%) while also managing inbound Marketing Leads (25%)
  • You have proven you can manage 45 or more active opportunities at one time
  • You execute a sales process in a solution sales methodology
  • You can conduct product demonstrations and presentations
  • You are experienced selling in a committee-driven environment, with multiple, cross-functional decision makers
  • You enjoy working independently as well as in a collaborative team
  • You are goal oriented and self-motivated
  • You can travel up to 25% of the time
  • Committed to leveraging technology and data products to help Democratic candidates run for office and win, empower progressive causes, and increase civic participation

  • Experience with HubSpot
  • Relationship building, and great oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working with state parties, PACs, or national party committees.
