We design and manufacture innovative products that provide accurate monitoring, inventory management, and automated control of corrosive chemicals used throughout North America and around the world. We are seeking a highly motivated Controls Engineer to join our engineering team. This position offers the opportunity to design, develop, and support innovative weighing and process control systems from concept through production.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop PLC-based control systems for industrial weighing and chemical feed equipment.
  • Program PLCs, HMI interfaces, and process controllers.
  • Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
  • Configure industrial communication protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet/IP, and serial communications.
  • Assist in the development and testing of new products.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and software issues during manufacturing and customer support.
  • Support product integration with SCADA and plant automation systems.
  • Prepare technical documentation, operating manuals, and engineering change documentation.
  • Work closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and sales to develop custom customer solutions.
  • Provide occasional technical support to customers and distributors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of controls engineering or industrial automation experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with PLC programming (Horner, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or similar).
  • Experience developing HMI applications.
  • Understanding of analog instrumentation, load cells, process control, and industrial sensors.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control systems.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent electrical design software is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
