Job description

Make a difference in the educational journey of students in grades K-12 by providing vital physical therapy services in a supportive school setting. This contract opportunity invites experienced physical therapists who are passionate about fostering growth and independence in children and adolescents. The position serves a diverse student population and welcomes candidates interested in either on-site or virtual service delivery for the 2026/2027 school year.

Key Qualifications/Preferred Experience:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist and eligibility to practice in the state
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal development
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable with technology and virtual service platforms (for remote candidates)

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ physical needs and develop individualized therapy plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative PT services for K-12 students as indicated on IEPs
  • Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and provide regular updates to staff and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success plans
  • Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to support student mobility and independence in the classroom environment
  • Adapt services for virtual delivery as needed
