Compensation: $42-$78 per hour
1. Overview
We are seeking experienced music producers, audio engineers, and mixing professionals to contribute to a research project focused on evaluating and improving generative AI music models.
As a Music Production Expert - Norwegian, you will assess AI-generated music across a broad range of genres and evaluate outputs against detailed quality standards. Your professional expertise will help assess musicality, creativity, production quality, vocal performance, genre characteristics, and adherence to creative prompts.
Candidates should have professional experience in music production or audio engineering, strong critical-listening skills, and native or near-native proficiency in Norwegian.

2. Key Responsibilities
  • Compare AI-generated songs side-by-side and evaluate them based on:
    • Musicality

    • Overall listening experience
  • Label and classify songs according to genre, structure, instrumentation, vocal characteristics, and other relevant musical attributes.
  • Evaluate AI-generated lyrics and vocal performances against reference material for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Identify production issues such as problematic mixing, balance, dynamics, distortion, artifacts, or unnatural vocal characteristics.
  • Apply structured evaluation criteria consistently across different musical styles and genres.
  • Provide clear and accurate feedback explaining the strengths and weaknesses of AI-generated music.
  • Use professional critical-listening skills to identify subtle musical and technical differences between outputs.
3. Core Qualifications
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Norwegian.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed written instructions in English.
  • 2+ years of professional experience as a:
    • Music Producer
    • Audio Engineer
    • Mixing Engineer
    • Music professional in a related production discipline
  • Strong understanding of music production, recording, arrangement, mixing, and audio quality.
