Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, permitting flexibility while maintaining a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Working in this detox center environment requires a nuanced understanding of mental health treatment processes and the ability to engage effectively with patients who are in vulnerable stages of recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy and other therapeutic services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments on patients to discern their mental health status, emotional needs, and social determinants impacting their well-being.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans that are culturally sensitive and based on evidence-based practices.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment protocols based on clinical assessments and feedback.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them in their recovery journey.
• Adhere strictly to ethical standards of practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and informed consent in all aspects of treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW will primarily work with individuals facing severe psychological distress related to substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our patient population often requires complex care and understanding, requiring a social worker who can navigate various challenges and provide empathetic support in difficult situations.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of two years of experience in delivering psychotherapy and mental health services.
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong clinical skills, including conducting thorough assessments and crafting evidence-based treatment plans.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare management software.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and patient-facing challenges.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards within professional practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a detox or rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches and strategies to support patients experiencing substance withdrawal.
• Prior involvement in community outreach or support initiatives for mental health awareness and education.

Compensation and Benefits
