Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Involved in the Analysis, Design, Coding and Testing of various applications.
  • Wrote ETL code for ingestion of pharmacy and medical claims, eligibility, rewards and other health care related data to data warehouse using PLSQL, OWB and ODI.
  • Involved in creation and maintenance of Unique Identification process based on demographics to gives each individual a unique number for processing the data within the Data warehouse.
  • Recoded the existing code to add new functionalities.
  • Worked with the Business team for requirements gathering, business analysis, testing, metrics and project coordination.
  • Created packages for reporting of data out from warehouse as per the business requirements.
  • Created standard packages that can be used for all clients for a specific data type and involved in Code Standardization and Documentation.
  • Created code for Audit of the existing data in the Data warehouse; comparing with data in the source.
  • Created PERL scripts for downloading files from remote servers, calling PL/SQL processes

and transmitting files to client servers.

  • Developed ER Diagrams, Data flow diagrams based on the requirement.
  • Analyzed and created Partitions on the tables to improve the performance and enhance parallel processing.
  • Effective Interaction with Support and other Application groups through on call for high priority issues
  • Involved in writing data migration scripts/create table scripts to load data successfully from old schema to new structured schema.
  • Proactively tuned SQL queries and performed refinement of the database design leading to significant improvement of system response time and efficiency.
  • Work with the data migration team as an SME for proper migration of data to the new platform.
