As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, your primary duties will include:

• Conducting one-on-one counseling sessions with clients via secure video chat to foster improvements in their mental health.
• Facilitating open discussions about emotions and experiences to help clients gain insights into themselves and their interpersonal relationships.
• Acting as an advocate for clients by helping them articulate personal goals and identifying pathways to accomplish them.
• Evaluating the mental and emotional conditions of clients, and developing tailored treatment plans using solution-focused methodologies based on your clinical expertise.
• Engaging in continuous professional development to stay informed about best practices in mental health counseling.

The clients you will see at Bright Wellness Psychological Center are carefully pre-screened to ensure they are stable adults with low acuity mental health needs. This means you will be working primarily with individuals who can benefit from supportive counseling rather than those with severe mental health issues. To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
• Full licensure from the state board to practice independently without supervision as a:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Applicants must maintain a strong ethical standing, with no disciplinary actions or provisional licenses.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a sympathetic demeanor are essential for building rapport with clients.
• Proficiency in digital tools and systems, as you will be utilizing a technology-driven platform for your practice.

While not mandatory, candidates with additional experience in the following areas will be preferred:

• Previous experience providing counseling services to adults in a remote setting.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and treatment modalities.
• Experience with client management systems and teletherapy tools.
