Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments of clients' needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
• Offer crisis intervention and therapeutic guidance for clients dealing with a range of issues, such as addiction, depression, and anxiety.
• Conduct age-appropriate assessments and deliver interventions that are sensitive to the unique circumstances of each client.
• Lead support groups for parents and families, facilitating discussions on challenges such as adoption and placement, particularly focusing on the needs of prenatally substance-exposed children.
• Conduct training sessions for parents and community professionals to enhance their understanding of mental health issues affecting families.
• Provide consultation and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on providing mental health treatment for children aged 0-21 and their families. This includes addressing issues related to parenting, child development, and various high-risk factors affecting the mental health of children. You will employ proven interventions and therapeutic techniques while showing sensitivity to the backgrounds and experiences of diverse families.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or another related mental health discipline is required.
• An active and appropriate California License for Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) must be held and maintained.
• Proven experience in mental health treatment and intervention strategies for children and their families.
• Knowledge of child development, parenting practices, and issues related to child abuse and neglect is crucial.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with high-risk children and parental intervention strategies is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with therapeutic frameworks and methodologies that support holistic family health is a plus.
• Previous involvement in community outreach or mental health education programs can enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload.
